So this is my 88th day of attempting to get covered by a policy through http://www.healthcare.gov.
The current message that I receive when I logon is that my application is INACTIVE. I have no idea why that would be the case.
This message also told me that I would be contacted by the insurance company that I selected.
However, 26 days later, I have not been contacted by the insurance company in any way.
During this time gap, I have attempted to track my application directly by the insurance company. They cannot find me in the system. They have no record that my information was ever sent.
I have also contacted the Obamacare 800# hotline to ask for tracking. This post from 12/12 provides an audio clip of that conversation. https://davepetno.com/2013/12/12/day-73-audio-obamacare-supervisor-cannot-track-my-application-without-my-social-security/
At this point, it is safe to say that I do not have coverage through Obamacare, Healthcare.gov, or through the insurance company that I selected.
if you have been following my blog, you will know that my attempt to gain coverage began on October 1 at 6 AM. At that time, I received the message below. I have not stopped trying since.
As a licensed insurance broker, I believe that I have an obligation to test the system prior to taking others through it.
